Ultimately #Torgate is about confidence. Being reminded your go-to privacy tool MIGHT not be secure attacks your personal sense of safety.

But the irony of Anonymous trying to destroy someone who’s trying to warn them about their data security illusions? Delicious.

Can’t blame them, that’s human bias. No one wants to hear bad news that effects them personally.

The #Torgate story feels a lot more like adolescent hackers throwing a shitfit over being reminded about details everyone else already knew.

I’ve never had cause to use Tor, but even I knew it was developed by the US security agencies. That there are still links isn’t surprising.
