Still, I could do with removing some bottlenecks in the system. A number of hose-barbs are undersized and therefore restrictive & leaky.

Was considering swapping the vacuum pumps over, but checked their stats. Current one; 16.5 m3/h. Newer one; 8cfm (13.6m3/h, converted).

Worst case I guess I could just silver-solder the adaptor in place and greatly increase the connecting surface area.

I need some sort of pressure limiter and don’t want that hanging off 5mm of brass thread.

Dismantling a refrigeration vac pump manifold however yields a flare to 1/8bsp fitting. But the thread is worryingly short.
