RS232 to USB converter is only £2. May just pry out the RJ11 socket and put a DB9 plug on the back. Manual actually has the pinouts!

Self-test function works. Test print suggests it’s thermal head is fine. Good dark blacks. Should make good barcodes.

Found the printer manual. Requires “80386 or higher processor”.

@grahamguy Indeed. But might make it suitable for a microcontroller project. Maybe.
