Dell 1901FP. Power button issue is due to tiny retaining stubs to one side breaking. Button then rotates; tab no longer contacts switch.

Dell 1901FP. LCD unit is self-contained inside plastic. Steel frame, electronics caged, VESA mount on cage.

Dell 1901FP. Front & rear bezels both clip to central plastics. However rear is ALSO screwed to it. With front bezel removed, LCD falls out.

Okay, sacrificed the one with the cracked case to find out. Dell 1901FP monitors are not designed to be serviced.

The furnace seems to have a dead heating element. The controller may also be acting up.
