If that’s the case, the threat of future legal action from potential buyers might make it easier to just scrap than sell on.

Taking a gamble on something of an unknown quantity is one thing, but once those issues are known, is it more a liability than an asset?

I’m not positive, but I suspect selling a website with known legal & security issues might be against the law?
