- @PaulLewis No idea, but note that vaunted "man in a wheelchair" is still able to pin a fully able-bodied policeman to the bonnet of a car. in reply to PaulLewis 18:11:34, 2012-07-28
- Previous RT is to remind people that deliberately misleading statements are available in both left and right wing flavours. 18:12:54, 2012-07-28
- I don't understand Critical Mass it must be said. The idea that you want to be treated as "real" road vehicles by breaking the road rules. 18:15:59, 2012-07-28
- I suppose it will do it though, albeit more likely by having bicycles legislated like cars as a result. 18:17:06, 2012-07-28
- Breaking rules leads to stricter enforcement. If they start demanding licence, insurance and so on for bicycles, use will decrease. 18:18:11, 2012-07-28
- Getting more people onto bicycles to increase common awareness of them is what will make them more treated as road vehicles. 18:18:50, 2012-07-28
- Basically Critical Mass seems to be counter-productive to it's stated goal. 18:19:35, 2012-07-28
- @Scaley_Jencen Steel will be worth negligible amounts, alum a little, copper a fair bit. in reply to Scaley_Jencen 18:44:31, 2012-07-28
- @Scaley_Jencen Tempting, but really after something 10" wide right now. in reply to Scaley_Jencen 18:49:11, 2012-07-28
- @Scaley_Jencen 10inch. trying to find to make a bell-jar for hackspace vacuum station. Any steel plate? in reply to Scaley_Jencen 18:59:10, 2012-07-28
- Tested the 9 Meanwell PSUs I took from the big pile at the hackspace. 4 very dead (deeper than a blown fuse).. 22:12:23, 2012-07-28
- ..3 of the SP-320-5's power up with fan fine. 1 S-40-12 fine, one SP-300-5 powers up, but no fan. Later is temp-controlled though. 22:14:11, 2012-07-28
- Will need to test for extended periods next, of course. But will need a static 5v load. 22:15:18, 2012-07-28
- Some nice inductors and MOSFETs on the dead PSUs though, so may salvage them if individual components functional. 22:16:58, 2012-07-28
- @Scaley_Jencen Well, enough to make the mounting plate on a 10" bell-jar, so something about 12" square and 5mm thick. in reply to Scaley_Jencen 22:36:04, 2012-07-28
- @Scaley_Jencen Also some same thickness but two pieces but 14" square. in reply to Scaley_Jencen 22:38:09, 2012-07-28
- @Scaley_Jencen S'okay, probably would have been a pain to collect anyway. :/ in reply to Scaley_Jencen 22:46:19, 2012-07-28
